Bengaluru, August 22, 2026: Aditya College of Physiotherapy and Aditya College of Allied Health Sciences organised Orientation Day 2026 for the 8th batch of BPT and Allied Health Sciences students at the Indoor Auditorium of Aditya Group of Institutions, Bengaluru.
The programme was organised to formally welcome the freshers and their parents and introduce them to the academic environment, professional responsibilities and opportunities available in the fields of Physiotherapy and Allied Health Sciences.
The event was honoured by Chief Guest Dr. Sai Kumar N, Principal and Professor, Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedics, College of Physiotherapy, and Dean, Biomedical and Allied Health Sciences, RGUHS, Bengaluru. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sai Kumar highlighted the growing importance of physiotherapy in healthcare and spoke about the new National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) regulations. He emphasised the significance of the 8th batch as the first batch to pursue their education under the NCAHP framework of “One Nation, One Curriculum.” He also encouraged the BPT and Allied Health Sciences freshers to make the most of their academic journey and develop into competent healthcare professionals.
The Guest of Honour, Dr. B. Y. T. Arya, Consultant Radiologist, Manipal Hospitals, Old Airport Road, Bengaluru, spoke about the vital role of Allied Health Services in the medical field. He emphasised that healthcare professionals from different disciplines need to work collectively for the betterment of patients. He particularly highlighted the importance of post-operative physiotherapy in the recovery and rehabilitation of patients following surgical procedures.
Dr. B. A. Vishwanath, Chairman, Aditya Group of Institutions, addressed the students and spoke about the noble nature of the physiotherapy profession and the significance of Allied Health Sciences in healthcare. He also highlighted the advanced facilities and excellent infrastructure provided by the college to support students in their academic and professional development.
The programme was graced by Dr. Priya Vishwanath, Chairperson, Aditya Group of Institutions; Dr. Vebaku Madhu, Principal, Aditya College of Physiotherapy; Dr. Anisha Hari, Principal, Aditya College of Allied Health Sciences; and Dr. Aditya Vishwanath, Vice Chairman, Aditya Group of Institutions, along with the principals and staffs of various institutions under AGI.
The Orientation Day witnessed enthusiastic participation from the freshers and parents of both BPT and Allied Health Sciences programmes. The programme provided an opportunity for the new students and their parents to familiarise themselves with the institution and gain an understanding of the professional journey ahead.
The occasion was further marked by the Ganesha Visarjan ceremony at Aditya Group of Institutions, which was attended and graced by the dignitaries, faculty members and students, adding to the spirit of togetherness and celebration on the campus.
The event concluded on a positive note, with the new batch beginning their academic journey with encouragement from the institution’s leadership and distinguished guests.
