The Principal, staff, and students of Aditya College of Physiotherapy participated in International Physiotherapy Conference MANGALORE PHYSIOCON 2026 , organized by the South Canara Physiotherapy Teachers Association on 10th and 11th April 2026 at the Dr. TMA Pai International Convention Centre, Mangalore.
Dr. Vebaku Madhu (PT), Principal, ACP was honoured with the Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his meritorious and outstanding contributions to the promotion of the physiotherapy profession. He also served as the Chairperson for the scientific committee in Mangalore Physiocon 2026.
Dr. Akhila K. (PT), Lecturer, ACP, presented a paper titled “Effectiveness of Eccentric Training in the Management of Achilles Tendinopathy: A Literature Review” under the Academician/Clinician category.
Third-year BPT students presented posters under the UG category.
The conference was graced by eminent dignitaries including Dr. U.T. Ifthikar Fareed, Chairman, Karnataka State Allied and Healthcare Council; Dr. Yagna Unmesh Shukla, Chairperson, National Commission for Allied & Health Care Professions, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India; Dr. Sharanprakash Patil, Hon’ble Minister for Medical Education, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship & Livelihood, Government of Karnataka; Sri Dinesh Gundu Rao, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of Karnataka; Dr. Bhagavan B.C., Vice Chancellor, RGUHS, Karnataka; and Dr. Sanjeev K. Jha, President, Indian Association of Physiotherapist.
The participation in this prestigious international conference provided valuable academic exposure, enhanced clinical knowledge, and encouraged research-oriented learning among faculty and students, contributing significantly to their professional growth.
