Aditya Physiotherapy Clinic , under the aegis of Aditya College of Physiotherapy , successfully organized a Free Physiotherapy Camp on Saturday, 25th July 2026, as a part of its ongoing commitment to community health and wellness. The camp was conducted at Aditya Physiotherapy Clinic, Yelahanka, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
As part of the Community-Based Rehabilitation , Final Year BPT students actively participated in community outreach activities prior to the camp. A few days before the event, final year BPT students visited the surrounding community to conduct surveys, identify individuals with musculoskeletal and functional health concerns, and create awareness about the importance of physiotherapy in maintaining health and improving quality of life. During these visits, they educated the public about the services offered at Aditya Physiotherapy Clinic and invited community members to benefit from the upcoming free physiotherapy camp.
The camp witnessed an encouraging response from the public, with 50 plus patients availing themselves of the free physiotherapy services. Comprehensive assessments and individualized consultations were provided by the Clinical Therapists, with active assistance from the interns and students under professional supervision.
The services offered during the camp included pain assessment and management, posture evaluation and correction, exercise therapy guidance, rehabilitation advice, and patient education on ergonomics, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures . Each patient received individualized recommendations and home exercise advice based on their clinical condition.
The camp also served as an excellent experiential learning opportunity for the students . By participating in community surveys, health education initiatives, patient assessments, and treatment sessions, the students gained valuable exposure to real-world clinical practice. Such outreach activities help bridge the gap between classroom learning and patient care while fostering communication skills, clinical reasoning, and professional confidence .
Furthermore, the presence of dedicated experienced clinical therapists managing the outpatient department (OPD) provides students with continuous clinical exposure throughout their academic program. Regular interaction with a diverse range of patients, coupled with participation in community health camps, enables students to refine their assessment and treatment skills, preparing them to become competent, confident, and compassionate physiotherapy professionals.
The successful conduct of the camp reflects the institution’s dedication to community health, experiential learning, and excellence in physiotherapy education. Aditya College of Physiotherapy remains committed to organizing similar outreach initiatives that not only benefit the community but also enrich the clinical training of its students through meaningful patient interaction and hands-on experience.
