Aditya College of Physiotherapy successfully organized the third session of its *Physio Edu Series–2026* on *20th June 2026* in online mode. The webinar, titled **”Trap to Treatment: Navigating the Parkinson’s Landscape,”** aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of Parkinson’s disease, its clinical presentation, and evidence-based physiotherapy management.
The resource person for the session was *Dr. V. Pradhapsankar*, Assistant Professor, KG College of Physiotherapy, Coimbatore. Drawing from his academic and clinical expertise, Dr. Pradhapsankar delivered an insightful and engaging lecture on the pathophysiology of Parkinson’s disease, common motor and non-motor manifestations, disease progression, and current rehabilitation strategies.
The session emphasized the pivotal role of physiotherapy in improving functional mobility, balance, gait, posture, and quality of life in individuals with Parkinson’s disease. Participants also gained valuable insights into assessment techniques, exercise prescription, cueing strategies, task-specific training, and the importance of individualized rehabilitation programs. Recent advances and evidence-based approaches in neurological physiotherapy were discussed, encouraging participants to integrate contemporary practices into clinical care.
The webinar witnessed enthusiastic participation from undergraduate students, interns, and faculties of Aditya College of Physiotherapy. An interactive question-and-answer session allowed participants to clarify clinical concepts and discuss practical challenges encountered in neurological rehabilitation.
The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. B. A. Vishwanath, Chairman, Aditya Group of Institutions, and Dr. Priya Vishwanath, Vice Chairperson, Aditya Group of Institutions. Dr. Vebaku Madhu, Principal, Aditya College of Physiotherapy, served as the Convener, while Dr. Jayapriya N. coordinated the event, ensuring its smooth and successful execution.
